For admission, School Leaving Certificate and NOC is compulsory
The School Education Department, Govt of Punjab, has stated that students who want to take admission to any other school should have a school-leaving certificate as well as NOC by the previous school at the time of admission. The reason for taking this step is to stop the children’s admission to any other school without paying fees to the previous one.
This decision of the School Education Department is especially for private schools, in which some students leave school without paying last months’ fees and get admission to another school. So, school-leaving certificates and NOC will prove that students’ previous fees are clear, and he will take admission to any school of their choice.
There are complaints received by the private schools association, especially in these COVID-19 holidays, that parents are shifting their children to other schools without paying fees and certificates. So, the School Education Department strictly order to follow the rule. As this law existed already but there is no implementation on this till now.
Thus from now, if any school enrolls a student who doesn’t have a school-leaving certificate, and NOC will receive a strict disciplinary action by the government.
