Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs psychiatric assessment, formulates diagnosis, and in consultation with referring physician recommends and completes appropriate disposition.

- Effectively troubleshoots all systems when problems arise in effecting a clinically necessary disposition.
- Additionally, assures that all appropriate documentation is complete according to standards to carry out the treatment/disposition plan.
- Also, completes all contacts necessary to arrange for appropriate disposition of the case and independently resolves problems with complicated dispositions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in nursing; Registered Nurse license and Certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, must be licensed as NP in the State of Maryland or another state where practicing. Demonstrated competence in the delivery of health care to a diverse group of child and adolescent patients preferred. Current CPR certification Must maintain current licensure and certification during the duration of employment. Furthermore, completion of the JHH and HCGH credentialing process prior to the start date.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of related experience or a combination of registered nursing experience in psychiatry preferred.
