Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board Put Ban on 100 Books
The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board decided to ban 100 books containing anti- Pakistan content. In a recent press release, the managing director, Rai Manzoor Hussain, said that almost all these books are taught in all private schools. Thirty-one publishers publish these books. However, these contents are also published in Oxford and Cambridge books. As this content is inappropriate and not suitable for students, the government announced to remove this immoral content.
It is to be informed that the government also tried to make a committee of 30 persons for this purpose. The district education department visits the private institutions where these books are taught. They strictly advised such institutions not to teach this blasphemous content. The reason for banning this content is that they contain inaccurate content about the creation of Pakistan. In other words, you can say they publish wrong information regarding Pakistan. Moreover, they also considered AJK as a wrong part of India. The book also shows the quotes of Mahatma Gandhi instead of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal
