KP Private Education Network to Open Schools from August 15

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Education Network (PENKP) has made the announcement that it would be opening the schools in the province from the 15th of August.

Fazlullah Daudzi, the network President has said that they have serious reservations on the policy of the government to open the schools from the 15th of September.

He said that the delay in the opening of the educational institutions is incomprehensible and added that when the shopping malls and public transport have been made operational then schools should be opened too.

Daudzai went against the directives of the government and announced that all the private schools throughout the province would be reopened from the 15th of August.

On the other hand, Maulana Hussain Ahmed, the leader of the Jamat-e-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) announced that the madrassas would also be opened soon.

The announcement has been made a day after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) denied the petition filed by a private school owner of permitting the school to resume the on-campus educational activities.

The petitioner had said that the school owners had been experiencing significant losses owing to the shut down of schools.

To this the Chief Justice, Athar Minallah said that it was the domain of the federal government to take any decisions in this matter.
