Federal Govt Announced to Start Online Classes

The federal government decided about colleges come under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE). According to the decision, the colleges will start the online undergraduate classes from 07 July 2020.

As this decision is made for the concern of students, but many teachers opposed it. Teachers stated that before the online classes, there must be training for the teachers.

Teachers said that FDE must think to record the lectures because online classes without any technical training would be difficult for the teachers.

Teachers’ Statement Regarding Online Classes

Here are some statements that were given by the teachers on the matter of starting undergraduate online classes.

In a talk, a teacher said all teachers have no laptops, a stable internet connection, and uninterrupted power supplies. He further said that most of the teachers were used whiteboards in the classroom for teaching. But in the online classes, it would not be possible to use the whiteboard.

Another teacher stated that before the online classes, the FDE must provide the training to the teachers in these holidays.

Other than that, some others said that they do not have any experience, and there is also a possibility that they can not conduct the classes properly. The reason is the internet, power supplies, and lack of technical knowledge.

Teachers’ Suggestion on Starting online classes:

So, teachers suggested to record the lecture and then provide it to the students. If students have any question, then he/she could contact the teacher directly.
