Punjab University Announced to Reduce the Fee

The vice-chancellor of PU made an important announcement regarding the university fees. He said that the university is thinking about the students and will not charge the full fees. 

Students Demands:

From the last few weeks, students of different universities were demanding to reduce their fees in this COVID-19 period. Students said that universities only conduct online classes. Therefore, all other charges except tuition fee must not be charged.

PU VC’s statement:

So, on this issue, Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar took the initiative to assist students. On Twitter, he said that the university would not charge any fee except tuition fees during this period.

Students response: 

Though it is a significant step and appreciated by many students, at the same time, some students are a bit confused as some students have already paid their semester fee, then how the university will take care of this matter. They said that except for the tuition fees, remaining charges must reimburse to the students who have already paid.
