Govt. Says No Decision Made About Reopening Schools by July 15

The federal minister for education, Shafqat Mahmood has denied the news that is making rounds on social media, claiming that the federal government has taken the decision of reopening the schools throughout the country around 15th July.

While responding to a poll that was formed by the famous singer and songwriter of the country Ali Zafar, the education minister has said that the government has not made any decision so far about the resumption of the academic process in schools.

Following the coronavirus outbreak in late February, the federal government had made the announcement to close down all the educational institutions until the 15th of July for the protection of the students and the staff members from getting infected by the pathogen.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the normal academic process however the federal government has taken some major measures to provide education to the children until the schools are shut.

Back in the month of April, the Ministry of Education introduced teleschool on PTV. The purpose of that was to offer education to the students of grades 1 to 12 on a per-day basis for 10 hours from 8 am in the morning to 6 pm in the evening.
