
PMDC takes action to cancel the registration of 15 universities
Pakistan Medical and Dental Commission (PMDC) took a big step of canceling the registration of 15 universities. A meeting of PMDC’s Ad-HOC was held in which the Registrar, brigadier Hafeez-ur-Rehman, decided to shift the students to other medical colleges where seats are available.
The list of medical colleges whose registration has been canceled by PMDC are:
- Azra Naheed Dental College, Lahore
- Abu Umara Medical and Dental College, Lahore
- Swat Medical College, Swat
- Abbottabad International Medical College, Abbottabad
- Dental Section, Frontier Medical College, Abbottabad
- Jinnah Medical College, Peshawar
- Fazaia Ruth PFAO Medical College, Karachi
- Dow Dental College, Karachi
- Shifa International Dental College, Islamabad
- School of dentistry, SZABMU, Islamabad
- Rawal Dental College, Rawalpindi
- Wateen Medical College, Rawalpindi
- Khairpur Medical College, Khairpur Mir, Sindh
- Muhammad Medical College, Mirpur Khas
- Suleman Roshan Medical College, Tando Adam, Sindh
However, one of the college management has filed a petition against PMDC’s decision on this cancellation. Now Islamabad High Court ordered the PMDC to submit an answer and take a decision of students till 20 May 2020.
