Peking University has announced on its website that this step to canceling entrance exams is to protect the candidates from coronavirus. In this case, remote interviews will be conducted for those candidates who will meet the requirements for application.

Due to this cancellation of entrance exams, it will be easy for students to get admission in the china top universities, an analyst said, and they could be linked with the Chinese Communist Party (CPP) overseas propaganda effort.

Lanzhou University’s retired professor, surnamed Cai, said that it is a part of the long-running strategy for the CCP to attract international students towards China. He also said that those students who study under this belt enjoy free education, and it is to develop a friendly relationship with other countries.
