Job Summary

The employee is under general supervision and performs work in sorting and distributing mail, front retail window service, internal functional operations and other related work as required.
The position is contingent upon sufficient funding.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to check packages for proper postage, proper packaging and addresses according to the USPS regulations.
  • Also, the ability to follow procedures, software and regulations required to work in a USPS Contract Postal Unit to include the ability to operate office equipment such as scales, pallet jacks and barcode scanners.
  • Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to use a computer and standard office software to navigate online systems, office computer programs, electronic document storage and use the Postal Service website.
  • He/she should be able to collect and compile statistical data, enter data into Excel spreadsheets used to maintain ongoing postal metrics.
  • Also, the candidate should be able to maintain a money drawer and stamp stock and balance by recording all transactions.

 

Qualifications for Vacancy for Postal Coordinator at East Tennessee State University

A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required.


Preferred Qualifications
  • USPS Mail Design Professional training,
  • Also, bulk mail processing and/or postal retail sales experience,
  • Additionally, passport Acceptance Experience,
  • Likewise, 2 years of college education preferred,
  • Similarly, proficient in Microsoft Excel,
  • Also, Graphic Arts and wide format printing experience.
